The
Northern Miner
is seeking a full-time Staff Writer for our Vancouver office. The Northern
Miner is a weekly newspaper and website specializing in mining.
The ideal
candidate will have: a university degree with a focus on geology, mining
engineering, chemistry, business, economics or the media; working experience in
the mining industry or financial journalism; an understanding of capital
markets; an ability to write clear and effective copy; and a willingness to
travel globally.
More experienced
candidates will be considered for the position of Senior Staff Writer.
Responsibilities
will include generating and writing mining-related stories and personality
profiles for our weekly newspaper and daily website, producing multimedia
editorial content, and travelling to international mining projects and
conferences.
