Primary responsibilities will include:
* Ensure hardware and software solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
* Work with customers to understand their business requirements, developing effective relationships and on going management processes for projects.
* Define deliverables, resource requirements and manage their development and delivery.
* Manage, monitor and motivate the team and project.
* Liaise with solutions providers and partners.
* Compile project reports.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Good business awareness with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects within a hardware/software environment including the following technologies: Microsoft Server Platforms, VMware, Citrix. Incorporating Server Hardware, SAN’s (Including replication), VLAN’s, Fibre, WAN, data centres and VOIP. Including the following applications: Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
* Strong customer facing and presentation skills.
* Strong leadership and influencing skills.
* Knowledge of the overall project lifecycle.
* Thorough knowledge of MS Project.
* Project Management qualification such as Prince2.
This role may require travel within the UK during the working week which may also include occasional overnight stays.
