Technical Assistance, Malawi Health Sector Programme (MHSP) Job Vacancy in Lilongwe, Malawi

Associates, a global leader in research, technical assistance, and program
implementation, seeks qualified consultants to contribute towards the 4-year,
Lilongwe-based, DFID-funded Technical Assistance (TA) component of the DFID
Malawi Health Sector Programme (MHSP). The TA Programme will deliver a package
of technical assistance to build the capacity necessary within the Ministry of
Health (MOH) and the Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) to fully
implement the new five-year Health Sector Strategic Plan. Technical assistance
opportunities are contingent upon Programme funding.

Abt
Associates is seeking qualified experts to undertake short and medium term
consulting assignments in Malawi. Experts should have experience working with
public and/or private sectors in the health sector to either advance policy
dialogue, build local capacity to undertake sector work and/or provide support
for strategic implementation of health sector priorities in one or more of the
following technical areas:

Health
financing Financial management Health service delivery planning Leadership and
management Engaging non-state actors in the delivery of health services Health
management information systems and the use of data for decision making
Advancing accountability, equity and citizen engagement in service delivery
Knowledge management Maternal health Decentralization of health services
management
All
consultants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline;
an outstanding professional reputation; and strong interpersonal, written
English, and oral presentation skills. Preference will be given to applicants
with experience in Malawi and/or southern Africa. Malawian experts are strongly
encouraged to apply.
