The Tea Research Institute of Tanzania (TRIT) invites suitably qualified
Tanzanians to fill the above vacant position:
The candidate must have successfully completed Form IV Secondary Education with
passes in Kiswahili and English. Must have a valid Class C Driving License and
working experience of not less than five years without causing any accident.
Possession of Trade Test Grade II / Drivers Grade II certificate from a
recognized Institution such as NIT or VETA will be an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that valid documents are obtained
prior to commencing any journey Adheres to Maintenance Schedules. - Keeps motor vehicle in good running conditions
and reports immediately faults and defects to his/her superior. - Ensures safety and cleanliness of the vehicle
and ensure that tool box has the necessary items at all times. - Able to drive all types of vehicles and
Maintaining motor vehicle log books according to laid down regulations.
Remuneration

Duty Station
TRIT operates at two locations: Ngwazi Tea Research Station, Mafinga, Mufindi
District, Iringa Region on the shores of the scenic lake Ngwazi and Marikitanda
Tea Research Station located near Amani in Muheza District, Tanga Region. TRIT
also has an Extension Services Unit based in Tukuyu and Lupembe in Rungwe and
Njombe Districts respectively.
