Title: OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (OHS) OFFICER – 1 POSITION

The Management of Tanzania Portland Cement is inviting for a suitable candidate
to fill the above vacant position, qualification:

The candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health and Safety OR Diploma in Occupational
Health and
Safety or Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science OR its equivalent.
2. Computer proficient with knowledge in MS office.
3. Must have good leadership, planning and organizing skills and the ability to
perform well under pressure,
4. Must be fluent in speaking and writing English and Swahili languages.
5. Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a manufacturing/Cement
industry or its equivalent.

Duties:
1. Assisting in the implementation of the occupational Health and Safety management
system at
TPCC and provide visible and high level safety support to TPCC departments and
contractors personnel to ensure the safe and efficient of TPCC operations and
associated infrastructure.
2. Attend relevant departmental safety related meetings as agreed with the OHS
Manager.
3. Responsible for building Occupational Health and Safety Culture and ensure
regular inspections are conducted within all areas of the site including
facilities manned by contractors and conduct regular audits/job observations to
determine the level of compliance with PPE requirements.
4. Prepare safety statistics on a weekly, monthly and annual basis report of
activities and statistics conducted during the period in an accurate and timely
manner for inclusion in the site-wide monthly report.
5. Conduct accidents and incidents investigations and prepare the report and
record keeping in the data base system and hard copy.
6. Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) compliance with the company
requirements,
7. Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
