This research assessed the challenges faced by single parents in the
upbringing of their children in Oghara community, Delta State. The purpose of

Literature review of various authors was carried
out to support this research work. The total population used for this study was
one hundred and twenty (120) persons. The sampling procedure used was the multi-stage sampling technique. The data collected were analyzed using the
frequency distribution tables and chi-square statistics.
