Studio Video Editor

Location: Lorong Chuan, Singapore	Division: Studio Operations	Contract Type: Permanent & Contract Positions

We’re looking for passionate, creative graduates with a passion for learning, sport and television, in this entry level position ESPN STAR Sports will prepare you to become a fully-fledged live studio director, working with industry leaders. As the Studio Video Editor you are responsible for operating a Video Server in record and playback modes, carrying out editing functions on EVS, FCP non-linear editing machine making highlight for sport events for inserts to air.

Duties include:
·         Setup the video server; configure the EVS and non-linear editing machine
·         Ingest footages, edit, and over-dubbing audio and compile clips into segments for multi-machine play-out during a production.
·         Perform post video edit and clean up after “live” or recording events to ensure that the repeats are of good production and technical quality to air
·         Help to reset the production control room and the studio at the end of the day ensuring that studio and PCR are ready for the next production at the end of the day.

Prerequisites:

·         Diploma in Video Productions or in Electronic and Communication Engineering or in IT or an equivalent.
·         Knowledge of editing on an EVS, Final Cut Pro and Video Server play out machine.
·         Comprehensive knowledge of football, motorsports, golf and tennis, American sports, Cricket, and the willingness and determination to learn what you don’t already know.
·         Must be willing to work changing shifts including nights, overnights, weekends and holidays.
·         Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other basic desktop applications (i.e. MS Outlook, Exchange, internet tools, etc.) is assumed.

Desirable not essential for the role

· Experience of working in a broadcast technology (or similar) environment.
