STREAT is a
Melbourne-based social enterprise that operates its hospitality enterprises to
fund and support hospitality training for disadvantaged youth since 2010.
This year we are launching our brand new flagship site in Collingwood
incorporating a specialty coffee café, roastery, production kitchen and bakery.
We are now looking
for experienced chefs, baristas and wait staff to help us launch our exciting
new cafe which will see us achieve our goal of training 365 young people every
year.
Multiple full-time
and casual positions are available including supervisory roles with the
opportunity to develop and grow within our organisation.
Successful
candidates must display the following qualities:
– Warmth,
friendliness and professionalism
– Interest in
imparting your hospitality knowledge to our trainees in a supportive
environment
– A focus on
providing an exceptional customer experience
– A passion for
coffee, good food and a desire to increase knowledge in these areas
– The desire to work
collaboratively within a growing social enterprise
Duties will include:
– Utilising professional
hospitality skills in a high volume café environment
– Being a champion
of hospitality and acting as a constant role model for the young people in our
training program
Experience
preferred:
– Chefs: a minimum
of 6 years experience
– Baristas/FOH:
a minimum of 2 years
– Working knowledge
of food safety standards
– Before starting
work a working with children check will be required
