Administrator/Coordinator, logistics officer, and other staff as necessary.

POSITION
SUMMARY
SNV
is currently seeking one accountant for Isuku Iwacu Activity funded by the US
Agency for International Development (USAID).
The
Accountant will assist the Finance and Administration Manager in completing day
to day budgeting, bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting activities.
This position is based in Kigali with occasional travel to the eight target
districts.
MAJOR
TASKS
  • Assist
    the FAM in preparing annual budgets and required budget realignments
  • Assist
    the FAM in the compilation of monthly financial reports
  • Prepare
    payment vouchers and verify if all supporting document are attached (e.g.
    requests, invoices, delivery notes, purchase order and/or contract, travel
    request and expenses, etc.) for FAM review and the Chief of Party approval
  • Complete
    data entry in SAP by Design for review and approval,
  • Maintain
    cash books and other financial records, including handling office petty
    cash system
  • Complete
    periodic scanning and maintain electronic filing of finance documents as
    needed.
  • Prepare
    VAT packages, ensuring all required documents are included, and complete
    required follow-up with the relevant Government authorities
  • Complete
    any other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
& REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting Skills
  • Minimum
    (3) three years’ work experience with a reputable organization using a
    computerized system
  • Expert
    user of MS Office products, especially Excel and comfort with learning new
    applications as required.
  • Good
    organizational skills
  • Ability
    to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • High
    standards of integrity, professionalism, and impartiality.
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Ability
    to work collaboratively in teams, build consensus, and effectively
    coordinate with internal and external actors is highly desired.
  • Ability
    and willingness to travel to target districts.
  • Experience
    working with USAID or other donor -funded projects.
  • Strong
    working knowledge of English (spoken and written).
  • Fluency
    in Kinyarwanda.
