The
successful candidate will have a professional web design and development
background. A strong interest in interactive technologies, and their novel
application in industry, is mandatory. Skills in visual/graphic design and
communications, back end coding and prior professional experience with
mobile technologies will be highly regarded.
The
successful candidate would ideally have worked with similar teaching methods,
but training and professional development support will be provided. Formal teaching
and assessment qualifications, as well as prior curriculum development
experience, would be highly desirable.
Essential
  • Master
    or Doctoral qualification in web design, or a closely related subject
    area, or Bachelor qualification plus equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated
    knowledge and ability in web design and development, UX/UI, information
    architecture, prototyping and current web standards
  • HTML,
    CSS, Javascript, SQL, PHP,  and at least Javascript-oriented
    framework e.g. JQuery, Bootstrap
  • Excellent
    team skills, and strong experience with Agile methods and source control
    systems
  • Familiarity
    with Dreamweaver, at least one CMS e.g. WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Minimum
    of 3 years professional web design and development experience
Desirable
  • Exposure
    to mobile app development, social media, motion graphics or web enabled
    devices
  • Teaching
    and assessment experience in a tertiary educational environment
  • Formal
    teaching and assessment qualifications
