Main purpose of the
job: To provide a full range of Office Management support to the Public
Relations Unit and to render public relations and protocol services.
Main duties and
Responsibilities
• Assist the Senior
Public Relations Officer with office management;
• Manage records/files in and out of the PRU;
• Manage the adjudication of the SADC Secondar
y Schools Essay Competition;
• Render designated public relations / public affairs services;
• Screen incoming calls, handles those within capacity and reroute as
appropriate;
• Render protocol services;
• Take pictures, caption and save them;
• Draft correspondence as required;
• Schedule appointments including travel for PRU staff members;
• Procure business cards for SADC staff;
• Participate in the proofreading and editing of SADC publications; and
• Post on the web as and when so required;
• Using Desktop Publishing, design and layout items for internal use such as
programmes and notifications;
• Contribute to Inside SADC diary;
Qualifications: One
to two-year college Diploma in Public Relations and Attendance certificate in
any field of communications shall be an added advantage
Experience: Office
management, events management, writing for the media, public relations,
protocol services for at least 3 years.
Remuneration: US$
30, 222 per annum
Contract Duration:
Two ( 2 ) years
