SACCO Supervisor Job Vacancy in Rwanda

Rwanda Cooperative Agency as a Public Institution in charge of Promotion, Registration and Regulation of Cooperatives in the Country would like to recruit a qualified Rwandan to compete for the following position:


1. SACCO SUPERVISOR (1)

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Inspect systematically and permanently or direct some people to inspect the Books of SACCOs all over the country;
• Communicate the results of supervision/inspection to the Committee and, where needed, to the General Assembly of a SACCO;
• Inform the DG of RCA about the findings of the inspection report;
• Recommend urgent audits for those SACCOs that are obviously mismanaged or whose leaders are simply suspected of malpractices;
• Take appropriate, urgent and protective measures in order to ensure the safety of Sacco´s members´ property in case of obvious malpractices or misuse of SACCOs´ funds by anyone.
• Report to Management of SACCOs all measures taken;
• Regularly exchange information with BNR on the management status of SACCOs countrywide and share views on the best way to improve it where needed;

Required skills and Qualifications:
• Holding a Bachelor´s degree in Accounting, Finance , Management, Economics and Business Administration;
• Demonstrated knowledge in Microfinance Institutions;
• Fluent in English or French (and working knowledge of other);
• Strong computer skills (Ms word, Ms excel );
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
