Institution located at Eastern Province, Kayonza District, Rwinkwavu Sector.
Rwinkwavu District Hospital with their Partners wishes to recruit the suitable
and competent Human Resources for the following positions :

 

1.
Position : Nurses (6)
• Should be conversant in English /or French,
knowledge of both preferred ;
• Should have license and certificate of
registration from Nursing council ;
• Should be able to work according to provided
schedules ; Should have working experience of hospitals ;
• Ensuring the reception and registration of women
in labor, Perform entrance exams and monitoring the parturient, Monitoring
parameters (TA, pulse, T °) of the parturient
• Monitor the work of the parturient, and
Administer the requirements made by the doctor, Ensure uncomplicated
deliveries.
Qualifications and skills

2.
position : Midwifery (4)
• Assist the physician during complicated
deliveries, Provide or assist the physician in the early care of the newborn,
Carry out weighing and registration of newborns.
• Prepare the parturient for surgical indication
(toilet, and premedication or resuscitation on prescription), Manage the health
information of motherhood, Manage the equipment and drugs of motherhood,
Participate in the doctor’s visit, in obstetrics and gynecology, and Ensure
that services meet the standards and protocols
Qualifications and skills
secondary Diploma (A1) certificate in Midwifery.
3. Clinical
mentor in Infectious Diseases (HIV, TB) (1)
• Should be conversant in English /or French,
knowledge of both preferred ;
• Provide on-site clinical mentoring to health
center nurses, covering one the following areas of clinical care
• Clinical mentoring duties will include (but are
not limited to) : one-on-one case management observation, assisting in
case management, providing timely and effective feedback to mentees and
responding to questions, teaching problem solving and decision-making skills,
ensuring ongoing development of clinical skills, reviewing clinical cases and
referral decisions, and conducting bedside teaching.
• Ensure implementation of best practices in
clinical care at the health centers, including implementation of national
treatment guidelines when available.
• Be available by phone or in person for
consultation on complicated cases and decisions to refer to district hospital.
• Facilitate transfer of knowledge acquired in
didactic trainings to practical application in patient care.
• Assist health center staff and administration in
developing and implementing clinical protocols to improve delivery of care.
• Document visit findings using standard program
evaluation tools and transmit the findings to the appropriate individuals in a
tactful and constructive manner.
Qualifications and skills
secondary diploma (A1) certificate in General
nursing and related field.
• Nourishing qualification with at least 5 years
hand-on clinical experience in HIV & TB
• care and treatments with a rural health facility.
4.
Procurement officer (1)
• To coordinate all tendering activities in the
Hospital and prepare the tender document and tender reports ; and also to
obtain pro forma invoices for price comparison ;
• To show competency in drafting and analyzing
procurement contracts ;
• To ensure transparency of bidding as well as cost
– effectiveness, quality and timely delivery of required goods, materials and
services ; Prepare and publish the annual procurement plan ;
• Act as secretary of internal tender committee and
monitor contract management ;
• Ensure adequate contract execution in
collaboration with the beneficiary departments ;
• Preparation of reports, records and produce
regular reports as stipulated in the procurement regulations
• The ideal candidates should have strong
communication, analytical and writing skills.
• Should also be familiar with the procurement
regulations for the tenders in public institutions.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
majoring in Finance and Accounting options, and Procurement.
5.
Position : Cashiers (4)
• Fill receipts consultations, medicines,
complementary examinations and hospitalization, etc..
• Calculate the costs of consultations,
medications, prescribed examinations and hospitalization and ensuring their
collection, and at the end of the day, in the presence of principal cashier,
count the total theoretical revenue and verify the amount with the physical
body.
Qualifications and skills
Secondary diploma in Accountancy (A2) and with an
experience in Hospital environment will be an added advantage.
6.
Position : Social Worker
• Proceed to the “identification of social
cases hospitalized or seen as outpatients (examination visit at home …)
• Establish folders “of social
assistance ; and follow up the “treatment adherence socially
disadvantaged patients ;
• Undertake the necessary steps to prevent
abandonment of care ; and to ensure the “social support for chronic
cases ;

Secondary diploma in Social Worker (A2)
7.
Position : Laboratory Technician (1)
• Ensure good conditions of biological samples and
perform laboratory tests specified in the list of Complementary Package
Activities ( PCA) ;
• Manage the information on its activity (
registration and validation of results, writing reports ” laboratory
activity) ; also ensure and implement the compliance of ” aseptic and
” hygiene as part of its activities ;
• Ensure proper reception of patients and Keep
correctly laboratory records (record tests and their results) and to ensure
that all required tests are made on time.
• Manage the material and equipment of Laboratory
Service properly.
Qualifications and skills
Secondary diploma in Laboratory Sciences (A1).
8.
Position : Archivist (1)
• Ensure archive of folders of the Hospital,
• Ensure archiving reports and manage Library of
the Hospital.
Qualifications and skills
Secondary diploma in Secretariat, Information
(Informatique), and Library Science (A2)
9.
Position : Electrician (1)
• Operates power hand tools and other specialized
electrical equipment ;
• Installs, repairs and services specialized
electrical equipment and machinery ;
• Constructs and maintains service equipment, and
read electrical circuit diagrams ;
• Requisitions material and supplies from
stockroom ; calls vendors to discuss needs for parts and supplies, and
recommends purchases and suppliers ;
• Transfers primary power from one power source to
another ;
• Installs conductors, splices cable, builds
terminations and does necessary hook-up for primary power lines

10.
Position : Plumber (1)
• Identify required tools and special equipment and
Select the type and size of pipe required ; and Assemble and install
valves and fittings
• Install, repair and maintain underground storm
sanitary and water piping systems
• Install, repair and maintain sinks, tubs and
toilets
• Install, repair and maintain water heaters and
conditioners, Install, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, and appliances
and alsoTest pipe systems and fixtures for leaks

11.
Position : Medical Equipment Maintenance officer (1)
• Repair, Install, Maintain, calibrate, and inspect
medical equipment and instrumentation, including life – support
equipment ; & diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain documentation on new equipment,
inspections, and inspections, and equipment repairs and failures ;
&Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding
equipment operation and maintenance.
• Repair or request a repair of biomedical
equipment, rolling stock, generator, hardware and ect.
• Keep track of equipment, material, rolling stock,
generator and hardware repair.
• In collaboration with the responsible staff,
establish work schedules for drivers.
• Supervise the work of driver.
Qualifications and skills
secondary diploma (A1) certificate in Electrical,
Electronics or Biomedical equipment Technology with minimum of two years of
experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
12.
Construction Site Supervisor (1)
• The Construction Site Supervisor oversees the
construction activities that take place on the worksite.
• Construction Experience : A Site Supervisor
should have a working knowledge of construction, and have the confidence in
that knowledge to effectively lead Construction activities on the worksite.
• Strong Supervisory Skills : The role of the
Site Supervisor is to supervise the work at hand, and not necessarily to do the
work.
Qualification and skills
Secondary diploma in construction (A2) with minimum
5 years of experience.
This work is for short term of 2 Months period.
13. Driver
(1)
• Working knowledge of the rules and regulations
involved in the safety and efficient operation of automotive equipment.
Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures, and ability to deal
effectively and patiently with others and ability to operate a van or small
bus.
Qualification and skills
Ordinary Level certificate of completion, Driving
License category B and D with minimum experience of 3 years. This work is on
short term contract of 6 Months.

Job description
• Should be conversant in English /or French,

area if requested by the Hospital Administration (Health Centers) ; &
Equivalence (where applicable) & Certificate of registration in council of
Nurses & Midwifery is necessary.
