Coalition is a national resource network and membership based organisation
focused on promoting environmental sustainability within Canada’s health care

Key
job responsibilities are to:
  • Build
    on and update the renewable energy report conducted by the Coalition
    several years ago;
  • Research
    renewable energy systems currently available or deployed in the health
    care sector across Canada, and include novel international examples;
  • Investigate
    opportunities and challenges facing those wishing to adopt renewable
    energy technology within a health care setting;
  • Investigate
    opportunities for hydrogen fuels generated from renewable sources to be
    used as part of combined heat and power (CHP) systems currently used by
    some health care facilities.
To
qualify for this job the applicants must:
  • Be
    between the ages of 15 to 30 years.
  • Have
    been registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year.
  • Intend
    to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year.
  • Be
    a student in a post-secondary, vocational or technical program.
  • Be
    a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee
    protection has been conferred.
  • Legally
    entitled to work in Ontario.
  • Have
    proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Priority
    students include visible minorities, Aboriginal peoples, and students with
    disabilities.
The
ideal applicant will have:
  • Technical
    post secondary schooling
  • Proficiency
    with web-based research tools and techniques
  • Knowledge
    of renewable energy technologies and CHP systems and related issues
  • Proficiency
    with standard office applications (Microsoft Office suite including Excel)
  • The
    ability to work efficiently both autonomously and within a team
