Receptionist Job Vacancy in Edinburgh

Our client are looking to add a receptionist to their successful admin team based in the city centre of Edinburgh. The role will be covering for someone going off on Maternity leave and will last at least 9 months. The role will likely start as soon as possible and pay a salary of around £16,000 per annum.

Duties for the role will include but not be limited to:
Based on reception; to answer all internal and external telephone calls in an efficient and courteous manner.
Meet and greet clients, offer beverages and newspapers.
Maintain all front of house and client facing areas ensuring meeting rooms are presentable immediately before and after meetings in accordance with Front of House standards.
Manage meeting room diary.
Providing beverages and ordering catering for on site meetings.
Occasional assistance with out of hour’s events in the office.
Arrange taxis for visitors – internal/external.
Assist with daily queries, both internal and external.
Other ad hoc duties to support the office to include maintaining stationary, typing, preparing presentations, binding reports, assisting with mailings etc.
Manage all postal, courier and delivery requirements including the franking and sorting of post and DX deliveries.
Make suggestions where improvements could be made and report any issues to your line manager.
Undertake a proactive role within the office to ensure the smooth running of that office and facilities within it.
Support the Facilities team by assisting with ad hoc duties as requested and dealing with local minor service contract providers.
Work in an organised manner, keeping the work area tidy in line with company written standards.
Proactively support local office business requirements when core facilities/receptionist duties allow
This role requires candidates to be immaculately presented, to have excellent customer service skills and to work to very high standards within their remit.

The ideal person for this role will have or will be:
Previous experience within a similar role, either reception, front of house or facilities.
A professional approach to dealing with guests, clients and incoming calls.
Excellent communication skills
An extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
