A construction company in Kenya with affiliates in Southern Sudan and Zambia wishes to recruit a highly experienced & self driven individual to fill the position of Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Quantity surveyor will be a member of the Senior Management Team and his key performance indicators will be as follows:
• Conducting project feasibility studies and preparation of the reports thereof.
• Drawing of contracts between the company and Clients/Subcontractors and administration of the said contracts during construction.
• Preparation of Bills of Quantities and Schedule of Materials for construction projects.
• Preparation of project cost estimates, administration of project costs during construction and drawing final accounts upon completion of construction projects.
• Establishing the most competitive sourcing channels and the logistics thereof
• Working closely with the project engineers to ensure all constructions material are availed in the right qualities/ qualities and applied to the construction as necessary.
Person Specifications:
• Bachelor of Arts degree in Quantity Surveying/Building Economics from a recognized university.
• Have at least eight (8) years post graduate experience in Quantity Surveying work in a busy contractor’s environment.
• Be computer literate in the use of Quantity Surveying software.
• Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
