Public Relations and Communications Officer Job Vacancy in Rwanda (The Legal Aid Forum)

The Legal Aid Forum (LAF) is a membership based network comprising of over 30 national and international NG0s, international organisations, professional bodies, universities and faith based initiatives working on Access to Justice and Legal Aid in Rwanda. LAF is currently looking to recruit a Rwandan national as a Public relations and Communications Officer (PRCO) to the Secretariat of the Legal Aid Forum.

Public Relations and Communications Officer (PRCO) will play a key role in advancing the publicity plans of the Legal Aid Forum and the promotion of its image and reputation to the public; communicate about LAF activities and its approach to Access to Justice in Rwanda; help to design public relations and communications strategy for LAF; help to maintain mutual understanding between LAF and its members. The Public Relations and Communications Officer (PRCO) will work in dose collaboration with the Programme Manager to the Secretariat and other staff in achieving the mission, vision and gaols of the LAF.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
a University degree (in Journalism, Public/International Relations, or in a related field), several years of progressively experience working in the field of communication or public relations. Having worked for NGOs or being familiar with NGO work will be considered an asset Fluent English or French (with a strong working knowledge of the other) and fluent Kinyanvanda. Excellent organisational, analytical, and interpersonal and IT skills are required.
