Project Engineer Job Vacancy in Aberdeen

Ably Resources are currently seeking a number of Project Engineers for our clients extensive operations based out of Aberdeen.

These positions will be on an ongoing contract basis and competitive rates will be provided to the right candidates.

Responsibilities:
Engineering Manager for the project team responsible for delivery of the technical solution.
Produce top level engineering documentation including, but not limited to, system schematics, top assembly drawing and BOM, and tagging schedule.

Assist Project Manager and Engineering Managers with input on required manning levels and budgets for execution of engineering tasks in the Project team.

Monitor work environment of engineers allocated to the project team and in collaboration with project and line managers execute activities to stimulate collective motivation towards the project’s common goals.

Point of contact for performing engineering tasks in a specific project.
Verify and confirm if tasks can be completed based on team competence and capacity
Analyse tasks to confirm that all necessary information is available. If not, obtain clarification.
Divide complex jobs into simpler engineering tasks adapted to the project engineering team.
Allocate personnel to engineering tasks within the project team.
Prepare engineering input to project kick-off.
Review as bid solution to as awarded solution and resolve discrepancies in co-operation with system engineer
Complete responsibility for creation and management of MDL.
Ensure all engineering documentation and engineering inputs are delivered on time according to project schedule.
Execute project according to company governing documents and processes. In particular, ensure that HSE policies and procedures are adhered to and the correct utilization of PEM.
Ensure all aspects of design, i.e. engineering, manufacture, HSE, cost, form fit & function have been correctly identified and addressed.
Conduct and attend design reviews.
Ensure that all information required for the generation of a technical file for products delivered on the project (basis of design, hazard and risk assessments, design review minutes, engineering calculations etc.) has been completed and documented in a clearly auditable fashion in accordance with legal directives and standards.
Monitor progress of engineering tasks in projects. Keep Project Manager continually updated of progress – reporting immediately of any delays or budget overruns, and make priorities in collaboration with Project Manager and Engineering Managers when needed.
Point of contact to resolve engineering issues, NCR’s and quality notifications within project team.
Escalate to project manager and engineering manager as required.
Ensure client and engineering requirements are clearly communicated to project engineering team and adhered to.
Interface to analysis group, product groups and other departments to ensure relevant required inputs for performing engineering tasks on project will be available according to project schedule.
Management of all technical interfaces – both internal and external throughout project.
Control engineering change on project.
Notify project manager of technical variations and assist in VO preparation.
Perform various duties as required for the common benefit of the project team.
Continuously search for new innovative technical solutions to improve our processes, products and systems.
Generate and compile the engineering documentation and engineering inputs necessary for successful handover of project to Aftermarket.
