The
family was health educated on how to wash their water storage container and to
place a particular cup on the lid of the container in order to avoid
contaminating the water by using multiple cups. I also educated them to always
cover their water to prevent breeding of flies and to always wash their Jerry
can with hot water and soap to prevent algae from growing in it.

enlighten them on clean cooking utensils in prevention of diseases and the
important of proper hand washing before handling foods. I gave them information
on food nutrients and how to prepare their foods to maintain the nutritional
value of the food.

On
occasion where I met Miss O. M. passing watering stool, I asked them if the
child has been experiencing that and they explained that she has passed it up
to five times that day. So I told them it is a sign of diarrhoea, then I helped
them to prepare ORS and taught them how to prepare and administer it.
