The Private Sector Federation is a professional organization, dedicated to
promote and represent the interests of the Rwandan Business Community. It is
the umbrella organization  and voice of the private sector.


The Private Sector Federation is a key role player in enabling the Private
Sector to respond to Rwanda’s vision for its future. Over the years, the
Federation has rolled out a number of exciting private sectors in the fields of
capacity building, entrepreneurship and business growth, trade promotion etc.

Offering an excellent career growth, PSF has established an Exporters Forum at
its Secretariat and is seeking a qualified individual to join an exciting team
at PSF to Coordinate the Forum. The main goal for the Forum is to mobilize and
organize Rwanda exporters to accelerate export growth, create jobs, increase
revenues, and ultimately improve the prosperity of the average citizen.

Job Title: Coordinator of
Exporter’s Forum

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Duty Station: PSF Headquarters

Role Purpose:
The Coordinator will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to,
offering general support directed to the Rwandan Exporters in line with the
services delivered by the “Exporters Forum”.


He/she will serve as the focal point for PSF in regard to the working
relationship with relevant stakeholders, including; Ministry of Trade and
Industry (MINICOM), Rwanda Development Board (RDB), National Agricultural
Export Board (NAEB), Rwanda Bureau of Standards (RBS), Rwanda Revenue Authority
(RRA) and Exporters in Rwanda among others.

Key areas of responsibility
Among other duties, he/she
shall perform the following:

• Conduct relevant researches, compile and disseminate to members relevant new business
opportunities and market information;
• Arrange and facilitate for the provision of tailor-made capacity building
programs;
• Carry out advocacy related services – including negotiating for external
market access opportunities;
• Recommend ways to the Government on removing bottlenecks and boosting
exports;
• Liaise in a more specific and direct manner with RDB to sort out problems of
exporters;
• Circulate Government notifications such as: Customs notifications, Central
Excise notifications & National Bank of Rwanda (BNR), etc.;
• Facilitate members to obtain relevant documents and certificates, such as,
certificates of origin, endorsing invoices, attesting contracts, etc.;
• Assist members visiting overseas countries to obtain Visas;
• Follow up on the operation of a Web Portal to provide online services,
including trade information among others;
• Organize trade missions to explore, identify, secure and consolidate market
access;
• Arrange relevant workshops, seminars and meetings with concerned stakeholders
and authorities;
• Regularly report to members on all relevant information in a timely manner;
• Other duties assigned by supervisors.

Interested candidates must
fulfil the following requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Economics, Business Administration,
Communication and relevant Business Studies from an accredited university. A
Master degree in the related discipline is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years of practical experience working in policy development and
specific understanding of Rwanda private and public sectors.
• Clear understanding of the mission of the organization, taking initiative and
consistently, working to promote achievement of its goals.
• Proven research skills and ability to make recommendations based on best
practices for business in Rwanda.
• Ability to work in team and collaborate with institutions of different
nature.
• Ability to write clear and concise memos, concept notes, reports and position
papers.
• Ability to prioritize work and deliver high-quality results within very tight
timelines.
• Must be a self-starter highly motivated, hardworking, innovative and
proactive individual.
• Proven oral and communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda.
• Strong computer skills.
