through Saturday)
About Plenty Wild Farms:
We are a small-scale, Certified Organic farm in our 4th year of operation. Our
focus is on growing high-quality vegetables, with approximately 2 acres in
production, which we sell through local farmers’ markets and a CSA program. We
also raise pastured pigs, which we sell through a pork share program, and are
in the process of expanding our small flock of sheep.
Job Description:
You are a hard-working, self-motivated person who takes pride in doing their
job well. You can work comfortably by yourself or with others in a fast-paced
environment. You have a positive attitude and are passionate about farming.
You will work alongside us four days a week as we plant, weed, harvest and
process over 40 different types of vegetables. You will work independently one
day a week as you staff our farm stand & CSA pick-up.
Your responsibilities will include:
• seeding and transplanting crops
• weeding (by hand or with hand tools)
• pruning and trellising
• harvesting, cleaning, sorting and packing vegetables for markets and CSA
program
• setting up and tearing down the farm stand
• accurately handling cash or credit card transactions
• providing excellent customer service
• feeding and watering animals
• maintaining accurate records as required
• following farm policies related to food safety and quality, farm safety and
organic certification
This work is physically demanding (especially on the back and knees), sometimes
repetitive and performed outdoors in all sorts of weather (from sweltering heat
to pouring rain). You must be willing and able to work in these conditions.

Since we will be sharing living quarters, we also require someone who is a
respectful, clean and tidy roommate with good communication skills.
Compensation:
This is a paid position with an hourly wage dependent on experience (in the
range of $12-$14/h). On-farm accommodation in the form of a private, furnished
room in our character farmhouse is provided and deducted from wages. Access to
free vegetables is also included.
