You have the unique opportunity to define your own PhD project in mathematics in cooperation with a DTU Mathematics supervisor of your choice. The process is that you contact a possible supervisor at the department, discuss your ideas for a PhD project and draw up a short PhD project description of maximum one page.
Qualifications
You should have a master’s degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, engineering or equivalent academic qualifications.
Approval and enrolment
The PhD degree scholarship is subject to academic approval and you will be enrolled in one of DTU’s general degree programmes. For information about the general enrolment requirements and planning of the PhD studies, please see the DTU PhD Guide.

Salary and appointment terms
The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD degree students. The period of employment is three years.
