Position: ASSOCIATE BRAND/BROKER MANAGER

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for coordinating Ontario Natural Food Co-op’s marketing,
communication programs and initiatives in support of the organization
sales goals and objectives. These initiatives include marketing,
promotions, trade shows sales programs, broker/vendor visits, sales
presentations, and brand case studies. Brand knowledge and recognition
on how the brands fit in the organic and natural channels. Monitors
business activities and creates customized marketing materials and
sales programs.

Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as main point of contact between brokers/vendors and Ontario
Natural Food Co-op Sales and Marketing, Purchasing and Finance team
• Facilitate annual broker/vendor events managing the expectations of
ONFC and broker/vendor while coordinating venues, timeline and
invitations as required
• Create, design and present marketing programs such as yearly
promotional programs, market overview, current and new launches
product sales reports analysis
• Assist the Marketing team with the development and implementation of
its strategic business and marketing plans
• Serve as project coordinator and help develop and refine processes
to meet the Sales and Marketing team goals to increase sales and
productivity
• Establish and maintain strong broker and vendor relationships
• Perform business support function activities; broker/vendor monthly
meeting planning on and off-site
• Produce customized marketing materials and standard reports in
accordance with ONFC guidelines and standards
• Establish and maintain sales targets, record keeping and coordinate
quarterly follow up with brokers and vendors
• Track daily broker support activities, issues, broker deals, ongoing
sales and hip-pocket programs
• Stay up to date with new product launches, placement and sales to
meet established targets
• Monitor the marketplace for possible special promotions in addition
to regular published case stacks promotions
• Negotiate working policies with brokers
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity as a team
player and possess the ability to work with a team of brokers and
vendors with minimal daily supervision
• Supports the sales team, as required, including sales training
• Manage broker/vendor contact database, schedule follow-up meetings
with brokers/vendors
• Financial troubleshooting and general administrative support
QUALIFICATIONS
• Project Management Certification (PMI)
• Post-secondary education in sales and marketing or related subjects
are required or minimal 5 years of experience preferable in the
organic and natural industry.
• Goal oriented and a team player
• This position requires a dynamic professional to be the central role
for a growing team of vendors and brokers with strong negotiation
skills.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic working
environment where change is a constant.
• Possess solid attention to detail, ability to develop proactive
approaches to problem-solving and strong organization skills along
with strong customer service.
• Excellent understanding of computer operations including MS Word and
MS Excel and possess the ability to learn new applications.
