Northrop
Grumman Integrated Defence Services (NGIDS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of
Northrop Grumman Australia Pty Ltd and is dedicated to providing in-service
support to aviation platforms predominantly to the Defence Sector.
NGIDS
specialises in through life support services primarily engineering,
maintenance, supply and training support for our customers’ aircraft at
Operational and Deeper Maintenance levels, including

aircraft modification and
upgrade.

Northrop
Grumman Integrated Defence Services (NGIDS) KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport
Program is seeking a highly motivated and professional, tertiary qualified
Avionics Engineer to support operational units and engineering projects. This
role will be located at our Springfield Lakes office and is initially for 18
month duration.
The
position functionally reports to the Technical Support Team Leader and is
responsible for maintaining high tempo technical support services to our Air Force
customers and supported industry partners.
You
will be responsible for
:
  • timely
    development and implementation of engineering solutions for KC-30A
    operators
  • generation
    and peer review of engineering instruments in aircraft avionics
    disciplines for Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) release
  • exercising
    Engineer delegation for the A330-derivative KC-30A aircraft, subsystems
    and support equipment
  • handling
    complex technical data including  U.S.-controlled technological data
    and (ITAR/EAR) material
  • Engineering
    Management System documentation and process management  
  • Engineering
    Change Proposal (ECP) processes for capability development and routine
    through life support projects
  • providing
    out of hours support to high tempo operations as required
To
be successful you must possess:
  • relevant
    aerospace engineering degree(s) (essential)
  • minimum
    two years’ experience as a Professional Engineer in the aviation industry
    (essential)
  • minimum
    two years’ experience in Defence aviation (preferred)
  • demonstrated
    understanding of Australian Defence Technical Airworthiness Regulations
  • Design
    Engineer (DE) status in an AEO, or ability to progress towards this
  • ability
    to work autonomously when required, and as a team player
  • proven
    analytical and reporting skills, and a clear communication style
  • experience
    with Engineering Management System and MS Office tools
  • Australian
    citizenship, capable of attaining an Australian Defence Security clearance
    (essential)
