Our mandate is to procure, store and distribute medicines and other medical supplies to the public health facilities and to a lesser extent to the private health facilities as well. NMS 2011/12 PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT (TWO POSITIONS)
Job Title: Procurement Assistant
Reports to Procurement Officer
Salary Scale NMS 5
Location of Office :Entebbe

Purpose of the job:
To perform procurement related activities to ensure that the Corporation has adequate non trading stock that support execution of the core mandate of the corporation. Non trading stock is stock other than medicines and other medical supplies).

Key accountabilities/Key Results areas.
1) To prepare standard bidding documents and PPDA-submission forms for procurement activities.
2) To prepare notifications of award and contract documents for review and approval
3) To work closely with the contract managers in tracking delivery schedules of supplies, works, and services in order to enforce compliance with contract terms.
4) To update the pre qualified suppliers data base to be used in selecting possible suppliers of works, services and goods.
5) To issue bids and support bid opening meetings
6) To attend and give advice during bid evaluation meetings.
7) To provide procurement and supply chain information required to be used during procurement process.
8) To assign procurement reference numbers and keeps all necessary documents on the procurement files.

Job requirement

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE;
• A diploma of Pharmacy from a recognized University
• 2 years of working experience in procurement from a reputable organization.
• Must be conversant with computer applications.
