Medway Safeguarding Children Board is the statutory body which ensures that agencies who deal with children and young people, such as the police, health services and social workers, work effectively together. Its mission is to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in Medway.

The Medway Safeguarding Children Board (MSCB) is seeking an Independent Chair to play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in Medway. You will share the passion and commitment of the Board to keep children safer and promoting strong families at the heart of the community.
You will have substantial experience of working strategically in a complex organisation involved in safeguarding children and child protection. You will possess excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills and be able to inspire the key statutory partners to motivate multiple agencies to work together.
Please note, Medway Council employees are not eligible to apply for this position.
