MPhil/PhD Bursary in Cognitive Linguistics at King’s College London in UK

The UK Cognitive Linguistics Association announces
in conjunction with King’s College London one bursary of £7,500 pa payable for
up to a maximum of 3 years.

The duration of bursary is of three years. Only
applicants who have secured an MPhil/PhD place in Cognitive Linguistics at
King’s College London are eligible for this award. Applicants of all
nationalities can apply for this award. MPhil/ PhD studies will start from Oct
2014. The application deadline is 31 January 2014.

-Applicants should have a minimum 2:1 first degree (or equivalent) and an
appropriate Masters degree in Linguistics or relevant area.

Dr Gabriella Rundblad.

Selection Criteria: The bursary will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence and
potential, judged on academic qualifications, performance and relevance to Dr
Rundblad’s expertise.
How to Apply: To apply
for an MPhil/PhD place at King’s College London, you will need to complete a
postgraduate online application form. Your application needs to include:
-A research proposal of approximately 1,500 words covering your research aims,
the theoretical background to the proposed research and its relationship to
previous work, the significance of the proposed research, the likely
methodological approach and why it is appropriate to the aims of the project,
and how your proposed research complements your previous experience
-Two academic references
-Degree transcripts
-CV
-Please ensure that you state Dr Rundblad as supervisor on the application
