As the Nutrient Management Program Team Lead you will apply your knowledge of policy development and project management to contribute to the ministry’s priorities of safe food, healthy animals and a healthy environment for Ontario.

In this role, you will:
* Lead, support, and coordinate the advancement of the Nutrient Management Program by providing leadership in the areas of policy development, performance standards, program approvals, certification and information management
* Lead the development and maintenance of operational policies and lead projects to improve the administration of the Nutrient Management Program

What we are looking for:
Leadership and Project Management Skills:
* You have leadership and project management skills to effectively coordinate/lead a team of professionals administering regulations and providing consultation to clients and stakeholder organizations.

Knowledge:
* You have knowledge of policy development processes and policy consultation techniques in order to manage complex and diverse policy issues
* You have knowledge of performance measurement principles to communicate performance results and develop program management/evaluation tools and resources
* You have knowledge of agriculture and soil and water management in agriculture such as practices of livestock husbandry, manure, waste and crop management

Analytical Skills:
* You have analytical, problem solving, and computer skills to research and develop program initiatives to address client needs and to use computer applications for statistical analysis

Communication, Interpersonal and Negotiation Skills:
* You have communication and presentation skills to prepare recommendations and reports, make presentations to senior management and present complex issues in plain language
* You have consultation, negotiation, interpersonal and relationship management skills to develop effective collaborative relationships with staff and external contacts
