of an interesting job working in a busy, prestigious medical clinic, playing an
important role in the delivery of excellent patient care, and using a variety
of the latest medical assessment equipment (including performing eye
photography and taking vitally important eye measurements with laser scanners),
then we are looking for you! We want a great colleague to join our friendly
team to assist us in the delivery of a level of eye care that is of the highest
international standard.
Although not essential, a background in these fields may be beneficial: medical
clinic, health sciences, nursing (EN or RN), optical industry, orthoptics. (We
can alter this position to suit a qualified Orthoptist.) You need to be very
keen to learn, be able to follow precise instructions carefully and remember
what you’ve been taught. You need to be able to communicate instructions
clearly to patients and treat them in a friendly, respectful manner.
This is a BUSY, but very rewarding position. It is a permanent, part-time
position (15 – 30 hours/week – negotiable) and we are looking for someone who
is worth our investment in training to become a vital member of our dedicated
team for the years ahead. Some of your shifts will require a 7am start and/or
7pm finish, and we would like you to be able to cover some of your colleagues
when they are on leave. We have some flexibility for the shifts, but it won’t
work if you are looking for a strictly 9am-5pm job or if you are looking for a
supplementary job.
You will be pre-assessing patients and working very closely with the medical
eye specialist (Ophthalmologist) in caring for patients with medical and
surgical eye problems. You will be working in a friendly team of excellent
assistants and secretaries in a world class facility.
