THE POSITION
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the grant
management process. S/he will oversee the financial aspect of contractual
agreements with the partners to ensure appropriate execution of the Foundation
policies. As such, the successful candidate in this position must be highly
motivated, innovative, and results-oriented. S/he will have strong listening
skills and ability to build effective working relationships.

Specific Responsibilities
- Assist partners in compliance with the
Foundation’s grant policies and procedures, including budget preparation
and reporting. - Assist program staff in understanding budget and
financial issues. - Assist to develop a framework to analyze
activities, outputs, budget assumptions and budget of programs to ensure
they all hang together. - Manage the grant database for accuracy and
timeliness recording of program data, commitments, disbursements, cash
flow projection and reporting. - Prepare monthly disbursement and commitment
reports and monitor against the annual goals. - Accountable for on-time legal documentation of
programs and reporting. - Accountable for compliance with CRA reporting and
anti-terrorism requirements. - Accountable for program analysis as per the
framework. - Assist to develop audit and accounting procedures
and practices on programs. - Perform standard audit procedures at the office
location and at program sites on financial reports of programs and
document work. - Perform special projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years postgraduate experience with
professional accounting experience. - Must have a Canadian CA designation.
- Excellent business and financial analytical
skills. - Good project management and organizational
skills. - High level of attention to detail.
- Dedication and strong work ethic.
- Demonstrates good business judgment.
- Good mentoring and performance management skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong
relations with partners and program staff. - Dedication and motivation to achieve high
standards of professionalism in the performance of duties. - International travel may be required.
- Results driven. Motivated by a high sense of
performance excellence and a sense of urgency. - Ability to set and achieve clear objectives and
deadlines. Shares information across the organization. - Flexible, intellectually curious and open. This

written, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills. - Strong computer skills e.g. financial systems and
