Background
With funding from Kvinna Till Kvinna, the Mano River Women (MARWOPNET-Liberia) will implement the project “Strengthening Women’s Peace Building Capacity and Conflict Prevention in Liberia Bordering Communities”. The Major goal of the project is to build the capacity of border residents along Liberia’s borders with Guinea and Cote d’Ivoire in peace building, conflict mediation and resolution, reconciliation; rights advocacy, especially the right of women as envisaged in the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 1820.
Below is the job descriptions of key staff needed for the implementation of this project;
1. Field Officer (based in Zorzoor or Salayea District in Lofa County) – female candidates are preferred
Reports to the Program Manager
Job Description:
• Guarantee that all missions and activities under the project are carried out in accordance to plan.
• Direct representative of MARWOPNET and the project at the community level;
• Participation in missions, planning meetings, evaluations or monitoring activities at community level and outside the field (where and when necessary).
Responsibilities:
• Implement and manage all field operation including day to day activities of all Border Monitors and volunteers.
• Write daily progress and end of project reports on field activities.
• Facilitate preparations for the implementation of all field activities including workshops training; monitoring; and evaluation
• Interact with the project communities including local authorities and elders, women and youth organizations, religious institutions, opinion leaders and other interest groups for the smooth operation of the activities
• coordinate with the communities to select participants of the various training including putting in place the required logistical arrangement for their travel, accommodation and fielding
• Represent MARWOPNET at all community meetings involving other stakeholders including local authorities, Civil Society or community based women and youth organizations.
Qualification: Certificate in Conflict Management, Peacebuilding and Co-Existence with three years working experience in the field of Peacebuilding
Basic Requirement: must be computer literate especially in Ms. Excel and Ms. Word
2. Position: Accountant (female candidates are preferred)

Job Description:
• Generally, the position is responsible for the over-all management of the financial resources of the project including budgeting and cash management, and specifically required to perform the following tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and apply internal control systems for asset acquisition, handling and utilization consistent with acceptable and approved accounting policies and standards adopted by MARWOPNET and in compliance with donors’ policies as it relates funds for specific project.
• Prepare financial reports including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and budget summaries and present end of period reports and other reports as may be requested.
• Monitor expenditure requests to ensure funds are appropriately spent and correctly accounted for in accordance to budget-lines.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accompanied by required support document
• Manage petty cash and its replenishment
• Perform bank reconciliation and other financial functions
• Make payment of all field transactions on the field.
Qualification: Bachelor in Business Management Degree in Accounting with three years experience
Basic Requirement: must be computer literate especially in Ms. Excel and Ms. Word
Logistics/Procurement Officer (female candidates are preferred)
Reports to Accountant
Job Description:
Ensure purchase, distribution, maintenance, identify and account for office equipment, materials and supplies;
Responsibility:
• Prepare listing of materials and supplies requested by various functions and verify before purchasing.
• Provides supporting documents (pro-forma invoices-3 copies from different vendors) and receipts for all purchases.
• Identify and code all equipment purchased.
• Purchase all materials and supplies, and distribute to various requesting units.
• Keep records of transactions, listing and logs of equipment, materials and supplies and their distribution.
• Prepare monthly reports and submit to Accountant.
• Provide copies of reports to be also submitted to Focal Person, and Program Manager.
• Take stock of all assets at main office and sub-offices.
• Provide logistics at the field levels for field operations.
Qualification: At least an AA Degree in Business Management including Accounting and Management with five years of working experience in procurement/logistics
Basic Requirement: must be computer literate especially in Ms. Excel and Ms. Word
Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E)
Report to the Focal Person
Responsibilities:
• Establish the internal M&E system to ensure:
regular monitoring of all relevant project features in line with the project’s monitoring and evaluation framework,
quality delivery of M+E services on the ground,
drafting of detailed monthly monitoring plans for the communities
introduction and use of suitable participatory monitoring tools at the community level,
flow of data and information,
handling and storage of data and information,
production of quality reports (quantitative and qualitative data, photos, charts, maps), including reports generated through developed M&E tools
Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Management or Economics with three years of in project monitoring and evaluation
Basic Requirement: must be computer literate especially in Ms. Excel and Ms. Word
