From its inception
Macquarie has strived to be a university that crosses traditional disciplinary
boundaries. Our goal is to make Macquarie University one of the leading
research universities in Australia, and the world. Having recently earned a
rating of 5 QS Stars, including the highest rating for employability, Macquarie
is definitively a world-class university – for students and staff. We’re
investing heavily in new buildings, courses and staff as well as collaborating
with businesses here and around the world such as Cochlear, Intel and CSIRO.
One of the most
talked-about aspects of Macquarie is the expansive, park-like campus
surrounding us. With our new high-tech library, private teaching hospital, gym
and pools, childcare facilities and our own railway station, Macquarie is also
a great campus to have as your
workplace.
The Faculty of Human
Sciences is a combination of disciplines across 4 key areas of expertise –
Health, Education, Language and the Mind. The faculty is home to a number of
internationally recognised research centres conducting ground breaking research
across our Departments of Education and Early Childhood, Linguistics,
Psychology, Cognitive Science, Health Professions and Advanced Medicine.
The Department of
Health Professions offers undergraduate, post graduate degrees and higher
degree research including NSW’s first Doctor of Physiotherapy. This 3 year
graduate-entry extended masters degree provides students high quality academic
and clinical education components to enter the physiotherapy profession.
