Clark (2011), said that the approaches to treat
presbyopia is bifocal lens. Dubow (2017), said that unlike bifocal and trifocal
that can focus only on two different distance in a smooth transition from the
centre to the bottom of the lenses.
Heiting (2017), said that most people with
presbyopia find bifocal and progressive lenses more comfortable and provide
more natural feeling vision. He also said that the line free progressive
lenses provide youthful appearance more than bifocal lens, which is another
reasons they are so popular.

Efe (2012), said that the segment height of reading
section of the cut lenses should be compared with the segment height required
for the new frame. He also said that this meant to avoid a situation where the
patient (wearer) may have difficult seeing through the reading portion after
the lens has been mounted into the new frame. He still said that this may be
due to inappropriate positioning of the reading segment.
Gauri (2012), said that the improper marking of the
segment height can cause low reading segment. He also said that over edging of
the reading portion can cause low reading segment.
Kevin (2013), said that some people are not aware
of the difference between bifocal lenses and single vision lenses.
Jackson (2012), stated that it take time for
wearers to adopt to bifocal lenses and progressive lenses.
Russell (2013), said that dizziness, headaches are
possible effect on people using bifocal lens will feel, due to inability of the
eye to focus.
