KSP Mobility Grants for International Students in France

The Kuwait Program at Sciences Po (KSP) offers
master grants for international students. KSP is a partnership between
Sciences Po and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS).
Grants are provided in the field of in the social sciences and the humanities
with special emphasis on the study of the Arab World and the Gulf Region.
Eligible students are those who are enrolled in a master’s program at Sciences
Po and currently in their first year of study. Application should be submitted
till March 14, 2014.

with special emphasis on the study of the Arab World and the Gulf Region.
Course Level: The grants are available for pursuing master
degree level.
Scholarship Provider: The Kuwait Program at Sciences Po (KSP) is a
partnership between Sciences Po and the Kuwait
Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS).

students of all nationalities may apply.
-Student projects must take place in a country of the Arab World or the Gulf
Region. For students opting for study abroad, please consult the list of
Sciences Po partner universities.
-Both undergraduate and graduate students at Sciences Po may be eligible to the
KSP Mobility Grant:
-Sciences Po undergraduate students
-Eligible students are those who are enrolled in the Undergraduate College of
Sciences Po, from  all campuses, who are currently in their second year
and planning to spend their third year (2014-2015) in the Arab World or the
Gulf Region, whether doing an internship or studying at a partner university.
-Eligible students are those who are enrolled in a master’s program at Sciences
Po and currently in their first year of study:
(a) Master students in all disciplines planning to write a Master thesis in
their second year (2014-2015) and to conduct field research in the Arab world
or the Gulf region.
(b) Master students planning to complete an internship in the region in their
second year (2014-2015).
Scholarship Open for International Students: Sciences Po students of all nationalities may apply.
Scholarship Description: The Kuwait Program at Sciences Po (KSP) is a partnership between
Sciences Po and the Kuwait
Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS). Working together, the two
institutions are supporting research and teaching in the social sciences and
the humanities with special emphasis on the study of the Arab World and the
Gulf Region. The KSP Mobility Grant program supports projects of Sciences Po
students in countries of the Arab World and the Gulf Region with the objective
of enhancing their experience in the region. These projects may take different
forms, including studies at a partner university, internships or field research
in the region. Every year multiple grants of up to 5,000 Euros each will be
awarded on the basis of candidates’ excellent academic records and coherence of
their project.
Number of award(s): Every year multiple grants will be awarded.
What does it cover? Every year multiple grants of up to 5,000. The grant is valid for the
academic year 2014-2015 and may not be deferred. Recipients must submit a
report at the end of the academic year. The purpose of the KSP Mobility
Grant is to provide a contribution towards travel and living expenses related
to a student project taking place in countries of the Arab World or the Gulf
Region.
Selection criteria: The grants will be awarded on the basis of candidates’ excellent
academic records and coherence of their project
Notification: Results will
be announced by April 30th, 2014.
How to Apply: To apply, please send the following materials to the KSP Assistant,
Heather Clarke, at: heather.clarke-at-sciencespo.fr with ‘KSP Mobility Grant
Application 2014’ in the subject line. For all applicants:
-CV in English.
-A cover letter in English of 1000 words (indicating in which program at
Sciences Po you are enrolled at and detailing your proposed project) addressed
to the members of the joint selection committee.
-Copy of the official academic transcripts for the entire length of your
studies at Sciences Po
-Two letters of references from professors, written in English. To ensure
confidentiality, these letters should be sent by the professors directly to the
KSP Assistant by e-mail.
-A one-page budget proposal including a provisional timeline.
-For study abroad applicants only, in addition to the five previous items,
please also provide:
-A letter from the DAIE (Direction des Affaires Internationales et des
Echanges) confirming your acceptance at a partner university.
-For internship applicants only, please also provide:
-A letter from the company where you will be interning confirming the
internship offer.
-For master thesis applicants only, please also provide:  A five-page
presentation of your research project, including an abstract of 300 words
maximum.
Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline is March 14, 2014.
