Kolapore
Gardens
is a small, organically managed market garden and farm, producing vegetables,
herbs and flowers for a 100 member summer CSA, a Winter CSA, two local farmers’
markets and a handful of wholesale accounts. We place a great deal of emphasis
on season extension and storage of winter crops as well as soil health. We
manage fertility through use of compost that is made on farm, and bought in, as
well as green manure crops, mulches, soil amendments and compost teas.
The farm is also
home to dogs, laying hens, riding horses and a burgeoning micro-greens
operation. Nestled in the Blue Mountains, we are minutes from hiking the Bruce
trail, Kolapore Wilderness Trails, rock climbing, moutain biking, and Georgian
Bay.
