holder with at least 3years experience in Higher Education. - Conversant
with Academic Quality Assurance in Higher Education - Able
to contribute to the academic activity of one or more faculties (Health
Sciences, Education, Business & Development Studies, Theology) - Proficient
in English and computer skills
This
post reports to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and will be a member of
the Executive Council.

Responsibilities
- To
ensure that the systems for monitoring quality and standards, including
moderation, student evaluations, student/staff liaison committees and
external examiners are working effectively - To
monitor the quality of the teaching, assessment and research conducted by
the faculties (including the use of Moodle) and address any identified
deficiencies in collaboration with the Dean/ Head concerned - To
ensure that the design and execution of new programmes of study meets all
internal and external standards - To
ensure that all the associated operations of Kibogora Polytechnic, for
example staff appointments, training and development, appraisal, promotion
and communications contribute to the quality and standards of the
institution - To
ensure the periodic review of established courses and programs - To
chair the Quality Committee - To
promote institution and faculty seminars to enhance quality and quality
assurance awareness at Kibogora Polytechnic. - To
monitor the operation of the Academic Regulations and Quality Procedures
and make recommendations for changes to the Senate. - To
contribute to the academic delivery in Kibogora Polytechnic
- Any
other duties consistent with the level of the position
