Kate Cowhig International Recruitment has been engaged to recruit a Senior Staff Nurse in Paediatric Intensive
Care.
Main purpose of this post:
• To provide high quality nursing care to children and families.
•To act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner.
•To assist in the safe, effective and efficient management of the Unit within allocated resources.
•To promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence based practice.
•To undertake delegated responsibility for the Unit in the absence of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse whilst responding to individual needs.
• To provide management and leadership to staff in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse.
• To participate in education programmes
The post holder will require the following:
•Registered RSCN/RNC (Essential)
•Minimum of 2 years experience at Grade 6 within the PICU Setting (Essential)
•ENB998/Preparation for mentorship (Desirable)
•ENB 415 or equivalent (Essential)
•APLS/EPLS Provider (Essential)
•Awareness of Child Protection issues (Essential)
•Experience of dealing with the sick infant and child (Essential)
•A sound working knowledge of paediatric mechanical invasive and non-invasive ventilation (Essential)
