The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster. At work today in over 40 countries and 22 U.S. cities, we restore safety, dignity and hope to millions who are uprooted and struggling to endure. The IRC leads the way from harm to home.

Background: Among other projects, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) supports two hospitals in Monrovia, Liberia called Redemption and James Davis Junior (JDJ) Hospitals, which provide vital services to the surrounding community including life-saving pediatric and obstetric care. In collaboration with the Liberian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) and the country’s Rebuilding Basic Care Services (RBHS) Program, IRC is working to make Redemption and James Davis Junior model hospitals where patients receive free quality care 24 hours a day.  Create protocols to standardize hospital’s non-clinical processes
 Keep hospital operations within budget
 Manage and train 6 staff
 Liaise with MOHSW authorities in Montserrado County and build managerial capacities in the facilities.
