JOB VACANCIES IN THE SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE REGULATING UNIT RWANDA

The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) would like to recruit for the following positions in the Special Economic Zone Regulating Unit:
1) The Head of the Unit

Qualifications
Should possess a post graduate degree in International development, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Management or any related field.

Experience
Should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a senior managerial position preferably in the private sector

Skills and Characteristics
• Should have knowledge of the developing strategies and frameworks for industrial projects
• Should possess proven leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and lead teams
• Should possess strong oral and written communication skills
• Should have the ability to work within tight deadlines and handle multiple concurrent activities
• Fluency in both written and oral English required. Knowledge of French language would be an added advantage.
• Should possess strong negotiation skills

2) Senior officer – Marketing and Business Development

Qualifications
Degree in business administration, Marketing or related field,

Experience
Minimum of 3 years of professional communications experience, preferably working in the media/corporate communications

Skills and Characteristics
• Should have established network with key media houses in the country
• Good analytical and research skills to conduct research and contribute to written reports
• Excellent English writing, proofing and editing skills
• Proficiency in major computer software; including ability to prepare and present Power Point Presentations
• Fluency in both written and oral English required. Knowledge of French language would be an added advantage.

3) Senior officer – Law compliance Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Management or any other business related field;

Experience:
At least 3 years experience in a business related work at a professional level;

Skills and Characteristics
• A good understanding of private sector regulation policies
• Able to confidently work with senior public officials and private sector leaders
• Strong team work skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple concurrent activities;
• Have strong interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work extra hours if needed
• Fluency in both written and oral English required. Knowledge of French language would be an added advantage.

4) Administrative assistant

Qualifications
At least a diploma in office management, secretarial or any related field

Experience
At least 3 year of working experience in providing assistance in office management

Skills and Characteristics
• Must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: knowledge of office administration, ability to maintain a high level of accuracy confidentiality
• Excellent English writing skills
• Effective verbal and listening communications skills
• Very effective organizational skills
• Effective written communications skills
• Computer skills including the ability to operate spreadsheet and word processing programs
