client is a global Business Intelligence and Analytics vendor that is driving
innovation within its industry. They have an extremely advanced Analytics and
Data Science team that continues to grow and innovate.
The role of the ‘Lead Data Scientist’ is to p
lay a lead in looking to
commercialise data assets that are currently held within the business and also
to look to integrate additional data assets that may be made available to the
business.
Key responsibilities:
• Perform as a subject matter expert on the company’s data assets
• Lead and mentor a growing team of data scientists
• Data Analysis – examination, discovery and interpretation of data assets held
within the business as well as data sets that may be presented (from clients or
suppliers) to the business for review and integration.
• Data Investigation – research of data assets to understand trends, anomalies,
patterns and opportunities for commercial exploitation of data.
• Data Commercialisation – work with product and analytic teams to ensure that
solutions developed can deliver commercial value to end users and also to make
sure that solutions can be productised.
• Support of client engagements where data analysis, investigation, integration
and evaluation are required
• Support the business casing of new data sets through data analysis and
evaluation
• Project Management

• Degree qualified in a technical or business related discipline
