and research staff. The School offers the undergraduate Major in Geological
Sciences, Honours in Geology, Geophysics, and Computational Earth Sciences, and
a comprehensive postgraduate program in all areas of Earth Sciences. The School
has
research strengths in mineral and energy resources, isotope geochemistry
and geochronology, structural geology and tectonics, geomicrobiology, igneous
petrology, palaeontology, geodynamics, modelling and computational earth
sciences, exploration geophysics, hydrogeology, and environmental geochemistry,
which are directly linked to the university’s top research strengths in Mining
and Minerals Processing and Ecology and Environmental Science. The School has an
active and expanding internationalisation program, with collaborations with
some of the top North and South American, European and Asian institutions.

proven track record in, the application of seismic to well ties, time-to-depth
conversion and velocity modelling. He or she will have the ability to generate
robust seismic interpretations from both 2D and 3D seismic datasets to support
field-scale and regional-scale geological modelling. They will work closely
