We Are
Inyenyeri
is a for-profit corporation with a social business charter focused on providing
a healthy renewable energy solution in Rwanda that can be replicated across
sub-Saharan Africa. Inyenyeri uses a fuel-side, or utility company, approach to
ensure that even the poorest Rwandan households have access to clean cooking
fuel and high quality gasifying cook stoves. Inyenyeri’s revenue stream is
derived from the sale of biomass cooking fuel pellets. Our solution is a
cleaner, healthier, faster, cheaper and more sustainable alternative to
charcoal and wood cooking.
About
the Role
Inyenyeri
seeks a highly motivated and professional HR Associate to assist the Human
Resources department in ensuring the delivery of quality, efficient and
proactive HR support services.
KEY
AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
  • Support
    recruitment exercises by filter Job Applications, setting and organizing
    interviews appointments, interview folders, and sending out regret
    letters.
  • Ensure
    that all staff files and records are up to-date.
  • Monitor
    closely staff leave status, ensuring regular updating of the leave
    database and status report sent out to line managers, track leave in
    coordination with line managers and advice accordingly.
  • Liaise
    with the HR Manager to ensure timely renewal of staff employment contracts
    records
  • Update
    and ensure staff medical eligibility lists are current.
  • Ensure
    staff medical cards are received from medical insurance providers upon
    immediate engagement of new staff and in the absence of those cards,
    ensure staff have medical referral letters
  • pdate
    Inyenyeri staff list details and share as required.
  • Filing
    employees life cycle documentation right from recruitment including CVs,
    employee certificates, employees bio-data, performance management forms,
    exit interview and leaver forms
  • Prepare
    standard letters for staff which include RSSB and bank account opening
  • Liaise
    with Direct Supervisors to collate information necessary for the
    preparation of the staff monthly payroll
  • Comply
    with all relevant inyenyeri policies and procedures with respect to the
    Code of Conduct, and other relevant policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
  • University
    degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration,
    Social Sciences, or other related academic discipline.
  • At
    least two year’s relevant experience in HR within a busy organisation
  • Knowledge
    and understanding of Rwandan Labour Law
  • Good
    oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency
    in working with computers particularly spread sheets and word processing
  • Experience
    of working within a team and team building
  • Ability
    to work within a multi-cultural setting
Desirable:
Background
in large for – profit corporate body.
