Salary:
£40,204 per annum, (more for an exceptional candidate), with benefits including
accommodation, relocation package, annual flight back home and medical
insurance cover.
Based:
Kigali, Rwanda
We are looking for
an exceptional candidate to join our Africa programme. You will be responsible
for lead consolidation and growth of Alert’s presence in the Great Lakes Region
(GLR) of Africa, providing day-to-day management support to Great Lakes region
country programmes within the AP/Africa Programme while acting as Country
Manager for Rwanda, with supervision of activities in Burundi.
To be great in this
job you are likely, first and foremost, to have a talent for designing and
delivering innovative peacebuilding programmes and initiatives, at the same
time being a problem-solver who thrives on resolving challenges.
Educated to degree
level (in a relevant subject), you will have significant experience of managing
field-based peacebuilding or development projects or programmes including in
Africa and you will have at least 3 years’ experience of responsibility for
financial management of projects including designing and managing budgets and
financial reporting, along with human resource management including
recruitment, performance review and mentoring/support.
