Position Summary
We require a skilled
General Surgeon to join our team
to provide Surgical Services to patients at Shoalhaven Hospital. The
hospital has four operating theatres and performs around 5,000 procedures
per year, including emergency, elective and endoscopy procedures. The
Hospital is accredited for vocational training though RACS and this
position will also assist with the further vocational training and supervison of
registrars rotating through the hospital.
Shoalhaven Hospital is a busy 180 bed Rural Hospital
supported by the Local Health District Hub of Wollongong Hospital. The
Hospital is situated 2.5 hours drive south of Sydney and is on the doorstep of
the stunning Jervis Bay National Marine Park.

The Hospital has four operating suites and offers
a wide range of surgical services including acute and emergency surgery as well
as a 9 bed Intensive Care Unit. These units fill the role of providing
surgical and trauma services to the areas down as far as Bateman’s Bay and west
to Nerriga.
