Humanitarian Scholarships for International Students at University of Dundee in UK

The
University of Dundee is pleased to offer up to five Humanitarian Scholarships
to pursue the postgraduate programme in the UK. International (Overseas)
students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
The
University of Dundee is a public research university based in the city and
Royal burgh of Dundee on the east coast of the central Lowlands of Scotland.
Applicants
from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English
language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Award:
Scholarships
of up to £24,450 value will be awarded which helps with tuition fees,
accommodation and living expenses.

Eligibility: The following
criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:
The
university provides Humanitarian Scholarships for Postgraduate taught
programmes

Humanitarian Scholarships are offered each year for a
one-year Postgraduate taught programme, within any University of
Dundee Academic School.
Humanitarian
Scholarships are offered on the following basis
  • Provision
    of living costs stipends £8,500 per annum
  • University
    fee waiver of up to £15,950
  • Provision
    of university accommodation (Single person accommodation only)
This
provision includes CARA, RUSS and HESPAL scholars who are eligible to apply for
the University of Dundee Humanitarian Scholarships and would be included for
selection by the panel.

(Overseas) students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Applying to Study at University of Dundee with a Humanitarian Scholarship
The
University of Dundee Humanitarian Scholarship is open to all international
(non-EU citizens) applicants who can verify their refugee status or provide
other suitable evidence as to why they should be a candidate for this
scholarship on humanitarian grounds. Any applicant for TaughtPost Graduate courses who can verify their refugee status will
be invited to apply for a Humanitarian Scholarship.

Verification
of admissions criteria can be documented with the assistance of these external
agencies. Consideration to the individual scholar’s likely impact on their home
community is used to contextualise the application.
Standard visa
requirements also have to be met for any International Student (Non-EU
Citizen) applying to study at University of Dundee via the Humanitarian
Scholarship Fund.
Please
note as a general rule only single person accommodation is offered
within this scholarship, however, the panel would be prepared to consider
applications for students with families on a case by case basis. No university
accommodation is available for families – this would need to be arranged
privately and an increase in the living cost stipend made accordingly.
