(REDHS) is situated in Rochester, close to the regional centres of Bendigo and
Echuca, and only two hours from Melbourne. REDHS is an integrated rural health
service, providing a broad range of acute, aged, primary and public health
programs to a population of approximately 6,500 people in the Campaspe and
Bendigo Shires. REDHS has an Acute Ward with an Urgent Care Centre, Operating
Theatre, 30-bed Nursing Home, 30 bed Hostel, and a large Primary Care centre
with eleven consulting rooms and two treatment areas. They are seeking a high
calibre health executive for this important position.
The Chief Executive Off
icer is responsible for implementing the strategic
direction of REDHS, as determined by the Board, as well as ensuring safe and
effective health services are provided to the community. This role requires an
energetic and experienced individual that can help lead this dynamic and
innovative organisation which was awarded Premier’s Rural Health Service of the
Year in 2013.
To meet the requirements of the role you will have post-graduate tertiary
qualifications in health management or a business related field. You will need
to demonstrated high levels of leadership, organisational and interpersonal
skills and experience in human resource management and industrial relations.
Knowledge of funding and current government policy and direction of acute, aged
residential, community and primary health care services are also required for
this position.
