A History Teacher job has become available for an experienced teacher to work in a popular mixed secondary school in the London Borough of Lewisham. The position will initially start on 11th October 2011 to 16th December 2011, full time, 5 days a week.
Ideally you will have the teaching knowledge and skill to be able to teach History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This school benefits from a supportive Humanities department; excellent premises and the students have seen huge academic improvements within the last year. This secondary school is well managed, staff work hard to provide outstanding support for their students and new staff alike.
To be successful with this long term teaching position you will have:
– Qualified Teaching Status – or overseas equivalent
– Ability to teach up to GCSE
– A strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
– Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication between students / colleagues
