Financial Systems Analyst
Responsibilities:
The Financial Systems Analyst position is a critical component of the Company’s SAP Support Group. The position serves as the second level of support for functional users and is responsible for the growth and development of the Super User network. The Financial Systems Analyst is also involved in process improvements that leverage the Company’s SAP system, system configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and training activities, all aimed at business process and system optimization. This position will serve as a liaison to IS and be involved in the global rollout of the Company’s SAP Financials application.

To keep abreast of new and changing technology and methods that enhance their skill set. This can be accomplished through continuing learning at outside classes, seminars, reading and other related training opportunities. Financial Systems Analysts are expected to continuously develop their SAP expertise and application skills.
Continuous Improvement
To find ways to continuously improve on the processes and responsibilities in their jobs. Focuses on initiating and improving the processes within finance as they relate to the effective use of SAP.
Communication
Interact with variety of stake holders via various communication mediums (written and/or verbal). Employee acts as primary communication contact for functional area and related stakeholders, whether sharing information, gathering feedback, or working through issues.
Financial Systems Support
Responsible for problem solving incidents or system related issues along with investigating and testing solutions. Investigates solutions and resolves incidents using all available information sources. Works constructively with Global Information Services (GIS) to implement approved changes. Designs, tests and implements business process improvements.
Monitors and analyzes business processes in order to optimize the use of SAP. Works constructively with other business-system owners and GIS to resolve interface issues.
Training
Serves as primary training contact for SAP application in finance and is responsible for ensuring that SAP financial systems documentation is updated and current.
Develops training process and materials that support major system changes or additions.
Requirements:
Relevant Education
Position requires a Bachelors Degree in Administration, Finance, Accounting or other related
Relevant Experience
• Requires 3 years of relevant experience that includes a combination of practical knowledge of Accounting and Finance, and Information Systems.
• Must have knowledge of business process design; master data maintenance; SAP FI-CO, CO-PA, BW, or BPC; formal application testing; and incident handling procedures.
• Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Must be a strong team player and have ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of US GAAP a plus
• Ability to work in a matrix organization critical
