Graduate Scholarships in Design for International Students at UNIST in Republic of Korea

The Design Practice Research Lab (dpr.lab) at the
School of Design & Human Engineering, UNIST is inviting applications for
graduate scholarships in Design. Scholarships are offered up to 2 years
for M.S. program, 4 years for PhD program and 6 years for M.S./PhD program. To
be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must hold B.A./Bsc
degree to apply M.S. program and M.A./M.S. degree  to apply
PhD program in Industrial/Product Design or related
fields. Applications are open from March 2014
till September 26th, 2013 (1st screening) and December 26th,
2013 (2nd screening).

Study Subject (s): Scholarships are provided in the field of Design.
Course Level: The Design Practice Research Lab (dpr.lab) is
currently recruiting graduate students at different levels: M.S. program (2
years), PhD program (4 years) and M.S./PhD program (6 years).
Scholarship Provider: The Design Practice Research Lab (dpr.lab) at
the School of Design & Human Engineering, UNIST
Scholarship can be taken at: Republic of Korea
Eligibility:
-English proficiency test: TOEFL iBT 80, or TOEIC
800, or equivalent
– B.A./Bsc degree in Industrial/Product Design or related fields to apply M.S.
program
– M.A./M.S. degree in industrial/Product Design or related fields to apply PhD
program
Scholarship Open for International Students: International students can apply for these scholarships.
Scholarship Description: The Design Practice Research lab (dpr.lab) at the School of Design &
Human Engineering, UNIST explores design practice with a focus upon design
representation as a means to understand designerly ways of knowing, thinking
and working. Our research investigates the practice and activity of design,
design thinking and designerly ways of knowing. Outcomes contribute to
expanding design knowledge (fundamental) and informing the practices of design
(applied).
Duration of award (s): Scholarships are offered up to 2 years for M.S. program, 4 years for PhD
program and 6 years for M.S./PhD program.
What does it cover?
– Full tuition and fees
– RA/TA Scholarship & Stipend: 940,000 won/month for Master, 1,140,000
won/month for Ph.D.
– Available fellowships in alternative to Scholarship
– Annual conference funding
– Possibility of exchange programs
Scholarship Application Deadline: Deadline for 1st screening is September 26th, 2013. Deadline for 2nd
screening is December 26th, 2013.
