The South Queensland Operating Centre is seeking a Chemical or Environmental Engineer to join the Brisbane based Water Process team. With a minimum of 5 years experience, the suitable applicant will have a strong technical knowledge in water/wastewater processes with an interest in risk assessment. Working within the consultancy environment, you will bring to the role experience in participating in and leading HAZOP and/or HACCP studies. Being familiar with a range of different water and wastewater treatment systems, you will further develop skills in risk assessment and be able to prepare recycled water and drinking water quality management plans.
Ideally you will have experience and a passion for water and wastewater process design; a basic understanding of water industry legislation, guidelines and key issues; and sound project management skills.
As a consultant you will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and will have demonstrated previous success in developing both internal and external relationships. The capacity to receive instructions and undertake work with minimal supervision and the ability to delegate tasks and supervise other employees (including drafting staff and graduate engineers) is essential in this role.
